Bad Bibra is a small town in southern Saxony-Anhalt and a state-approved resort. Worth mentioning is the town church of St. Marien, a late Gothic building from the 15th century with Romanesque remains (block frieze on the south-east side of the church). The town has been called Bad Bibra since 1925, after bathing tourism had increased in the 19th century. In castle settlements, the chateau with a baroque garden should be highlighted. Laucha is a former street village on the old Langensalza-Freyburg-Merseburg military road.
